Here's how the practice room works:

First of all, EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

At the given date and time (weekly schedule posted below), meet at post 1. It appears 30 minutes in advance of the hour (barring unusual circumstances), giving us a chance to set our goals in the comments. Declare your goal. Work toward furthering your project; word counting, revision, or whatever it needs - you decide.

Post 2: WE ARE UNPLUGGED! announces our hour. During that time, we write! The rules: no procrastinations. Please feel free to make tea or stand on your head as needed.

When the time is up, Post 3 appears with a chat box and we will get a chance to converse, or you can comment old-style to tell us what you got done! We are dying to know!

Read about a typical first time here. I make the schedule every Sunday. It will remain up in the side bar until I post the next week's schedule (feel free to make requests for particular times in the comments - I take them into serious consideration). All additions will be noted in in the side bar. Come back and check it often. (The schedule times are listed in Eastern Time Zone but the blog posts in Central - Tina's time zone. Our visitors are from all over the map.)

Schedule for the Week of Sunday, August 28th


Yay!!! I can't wait to see you all! For now the schedule is slim, as it is the first week of school and I don't know what my new schedule will bring. I will keep you posted. Heather, do you still wanna do mornings? I will not start mine until I have a better sense of them. Marisa, other times? Dianne, are you coming Monday? And all, what day should we Hangout? I totally can't wait to write and hear how writing, kiddos and everything has been! See you tomorrow I hope!

    Hi, Tina! Just saw this on the side bar. I'll be doing Monday evenings unless I tell you otherwise. I think I'll even be available on Labor Day, although I don't know if anyone will want to attend.

    I'd still like to come to a Hangout now and then, although finding a good time might be tricky. Evenings or weekends would be best for me, and it may vary from week to week.

    Maybe a weekend hangout! I like that idea. A Sat morning or something. Maybe you and i should call one and just see who else shows up. Next weekend doesn't work for me though. Although perhaps it might for your pm unplug. I keep hoping they would work but it is usually when my homelife is at it's craziness. But a weekend might be the ticket. :)

    So how about a Sat, Sept. 10th for a hangout?
